Our Mission is to discover, preserve and share Sindhi culture while supporting scholars, artists and artisans
In 1947 when India was split into 2 parts, Punjab and Bengal was divided across both nations. For Sindh and Sindhis there was no place in India. Millions of Sindhis had to abandon their lives, their homes, and their way of living to start a new life as refugees in India.
As life moved on, the Sindhi diaspora made it’s way across India and the world, moving and settling into a new life. As the generation that lived through Sindh, enter their twilight years, the fond memories and stories of our homeland go with them.
At the Sindhi Culture Foundation, our goal is to discover, preserve, and share these precious memories and stories. We want to spread this legacy and rich history across multiple generations.
The Sindhi Culture Foundation was founded by the late Dr. Shyam Bulchandani, from Shikarpur and his daughter Aruna Madnani, who achieved her dream of visiting Sindh in 2019.
We are supported by generous patrons who help us reach goals in our cause.
