Story
Seth Rai Sahib Kishan Chand Asrani was a magistrate in the British Government and fought in the 1st World War. He died in the 1935 Quetta Earthquake.
He was known to be a jovial man, fair and handsome and often was mistaken as an Italian. They had an anglicized lifestyle. He was forward thinking, believed in educating his children and doted on his daughter in law and hired a tutor to teach her English and European etiquette. He is dressed in his military uniform with the Pashtun turban and his medals. He spoke several languages: Pashtun, Punjab, Sindhi, Hindi, English and Seraiki. He was a Shikarpuri and owned a house and land in Shikarpur. He lived in Quetta and had many houses there. There is a lane names after him, Kishanchand Lane. He was magistrate and arbitrated cases from home. His home had fruit orchards in the gardens. He had taken vacations to Europe twice. As told by his granddaughter Shakuntala Asrani Pandit.

Delhi Durbar medals instituted by UK to commemorate [a stamp/medal to mark a certain event] the Delhi durbar where the new emperor of India was proclaimed in 1903 for Edward VII and in 1911 for George V.

Afghanistan N.W.F 1919- India General Service Medal 1909 Awared to Seth Rai Bhadur Kishanchand Asrani
It was a campaign medal approved on 1st Jan for issue to officers and men of the British and Indian armies. From 1919 it was also warded to officers and men of Royal air force during the First World War.

British War Medal [1914-1918] Awarded to Seth Rai Bhadur Kishanchand Asrani
Awarded to the officers and men of British and imperial forces for service in the first World War.
Two versions of the medals were produced. About 6.5 million in Silver and 1,10,000 in Bronze.
These were also awarded to Chinese, Maltese, and Indian labor corps.

Reverse side- Saint George naked open horseback and armed with a short sword, which achieved victory over Prussians.

Ribbon- the silk ribbon is 32mm wide, with a 3mm wide royal blue band, a 2 mm wide black band repeated in reverse order and separated by a 16mm wide orange band.
